Bold purple tubular flowers adorn the stems of this hummingbird-magnet plant. The deep purple bloom clusters of Iochroma Royal Queen Purple are a sight to behold and it will flower steadily from early summer until frost. The plant has large, velvety leaves and usually reaches about 3 tall. In the same family as brugmansias, Iochromas are sometimes called Mini Angel’s Trumpets, and they have similar cultural requirements: full sun, well-drained soil and frequent fertilization during the summer months to encourage continual blooming.
