Probably the best of all mulberries, the 4-5 long fruit is super sweet and flavorful and is often used in jams, jellies and juices or eaten fresh. It is a large grower that can be managed in containers for a number of years with regular pruning of branches
Probably the best of all mulberries, the 4-5 long fruit is super sweet and flavorful and is often used in jams, jellies and juices or eaten fresh. It is a large grower that can be managed in containers for a number of years with regular pruning of branches and roots. The fruit ripens in mid-summer for us in CT and its a heavy producer with flower buds emerging along the stems of the previous years growth. Hardy to Zone 7, it needs protection here in the north.
